Summons

As our instincts were sublimated, some havoc became trapped within. It was opined by a Prussian that this results in Gewissenbisse and in its jaws we can start to feel something of this startling triptych.

Squat sentries guard the central panel conceived from a low angle. A naked figure shrouded only by herself locks a single eye on the viewer - the rest of the face obscured by a thicket of limbs. A strong perspectival presence emerges at colour boundaries and explicitly on the wall and via the floorboards. Does this Cyclops wait to feed or to digest?

The left hand guards the forehead mimicking compound eyes to ward off her own predators. The bloodied right hangs to the floor the index finger pointing accusatorily at it. And it is in that hand with wounds still fresh that we witness the bite of conscience.

The pervasive palette is one of orange and dried red with some sombre complement of green. Its like a hearth-lit abattoir or a demonic mirrored sauna.

The secondary panels present supporting views with offerings of flower, fruit, and foliage. Leftmost a topdown and the rightmost teases a golden apple burning like a desert sun. What strife a golden apple can cause. Is this what is being summoned?
